The TAVI Atlas is a useful tool for medical students and professionals to learn about complex procedures to replace a patient’s aortic valve. The Erasmus Medical Center used 3D-printed hearts to illustrate the procedure in this atlas.

This 3D model was created by Dr. Emilie Sauvage of Materialise in cooperation with Dr. Nicolas van Mieghem, Medical Director of the Department of Interventional Cardiology at the Thoraxcenter, Erasmus Medical Center.
With its headquarters in Leuven, Belgium, and branches worldwide, Materialise is a provider of Additive Manufacturing (AM) software solutions and sophisticated 3D printing services in a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, automotive, aerospace, art and design, and consumer products.
